Hospitality Assured client The Victory Services Club (VSC) has been honoured with a Ministry of Defence Employer Recognition Scheme Silver Award. The Club will be presented with their award at the Cavalry and Guards Club, Piccadilly, London on Monday 25th November 2019. The MOD’s Employer Recognition Scheme acknowledges those organisations who actively demonstrate support to the Armed Forces Community.
Commenting on the announcement of the 2019 Employer Recognition Scheme Silver awards, Defence Secretary, Ben Wallace said: “These awards recognise the outstanding support for our armed forces from employers across Britain and I would like to thank and congratulate each and every one. Regardless of size, location or sector, employing ex-forces personnel is good for business and this year we have doubled the number of awards in recognition of the fantastic support they give.”
The Victory Services Club CEO, Air Commodore Nigel Beet said: “We are greatly honoured to receive this prestigious award in recognition of the work that we do to help the Armed Forces Community. The VSC is a registered charity that re-invests revenue from commercial events to fund schemes, including Respite and Welfare Breaks which are free for members of the Armed Forces, and veterans who have been injured on military service or have faced life changing illnesses, together with their families. Over the past year our Events Sales Team achieved a 27% increase in sales. This has contributed to our ability to fund a 17.5% increase in the number of free Respite and Welfare Breaks given to injured members of the Armed Forces, veterans and their families. Booking an event here at the Club, which is located near to Marble Arch in London, helps us to deliver these free weekends”.
The VSC provided 140 free stays in the last twelve months with their Respite and Welfare initiative. The Club plans to deliver even more free weekend breaks in London at the Club for injured members of the Armed Forces, veterans and their families.
