The Victory Services Club (VSC) announces that its Carisbrooke Hall will officially reopen on 15th September 2017 following a £1m refurbishment.
The newly refurbished space, which is the largest events space available at the venue, has a capacity to host up to 300 guests and will be used for Christmas parties, receptions, conferences and wedding receptions. The three-month refurbishment has seen the suite fitted out with a large retractable flat-screen television, Creston control panels which offer complete user control over the audio and video sources and a new video system which is viewable on both the projector screen and the control panels. On top of this, the membership based venue has also installed an audio system which includes wireless microphones, comfort monitors and a new lighting system that offers a stage spotlight and projector-style lights that are able to display logo images and animations that can be controlled throughout the space by an iPad. In addition, a new air conditioning system has been installed, which will add to the comfort of day delegates and dinner guests and the space will offer free, fast Wi-Fi.
The décor used in the newly refurbished Carisbrooke Hall and adjacent Bar is themed around the popular Art Deco style. This classical theme is focused on highly stylised natural, geometric forms and ornaments with strong symmetry.
The newly refurbished space will be showcased at the start of 2018 with a celebratory gala dinner to mark the end of its VSC110 campaign. Clients and event planners will be invited to attend the evening showcase which will include a welcome reception, a bespoke three-course dinner, entertainment and a guest speaker.
Air Commodore Nigel Beet CBE, CEO of the VSC says: “We’re very excited to officially launch our refurbished Carisbrooke Hall as part of a special year celebrating the Club’s 110th anniversary. The Carisbrooke Hall is the largest event space available at the VSC and therefore it was a priority to make sure the project was completed as quickly and efficiently as possible, well ahead of the Christmas party season. We are absolutely delighted with the results and look forward to officially unveiling the space in the New Year.”
