OUR ACCREDITATIONS & ENDORSEMENTS

Hospitality Assured, the Standard for Service and Business Excellence is owned by the Institute of Hospitality and run under licence by Hospitality Limited.  The Institute of Hospitality and the British Hospitality Association (BHA) both act as the Accreditation Body.

Hospitality Assured was created for the industry, by the industry, and the development of The Standard was undertaken in co-operation with the University of Surrey, who reviewed a range of practices across businesses in the service sector and the specification incorporates the EFQM’s excellence concepts. 

The Standard is fully endorsed by the British Quality Foundation as meeting the criteria in the EFQM Excellence Model that is owned by the European Foundation for Quality Management (EFQM).  The Standard can be applied to any business.

Hospitality Assured is a Business-to Business Standard and the process of achieving the Award is an indication of striving for world-class performance. 

The Institute of Hospitality is the international hospitality professional membership body for managers and aspiring managers who work and study in the hospitality, leisure and tourism industries. Established in 1938, they support more than 10,000 hospitality professionals in 100 countries to grow their knowledge, professional profile and expertise by offering a wide range of high quality membership services. These include targeted and regular industry networking events, hospitality qualifications and extensive online quality resources such as free management guides, Hospitality magazine, bi-weekly webinars, ebooks and ejournals.

HOSPITALITY ASSURED’S CORPORATE SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY

We have determined to bring together some of our values and principles into one framework policy under the heading of Corporate Social Responsibility. We believe that our primary social responsibility is to remain financially viable and operationally sustainable. In doing so we will be more effective in contributing to society. Our Corporate Social Responsibility Report is about how we conduct ourselves, the impact we have on the wider society and the decisions that we take that impact our environment. We fervently believe that we have a responsibility not only to our colleagues, but society as a whole and therefore take our relationships with our stakeholders and community groups very seriously, seeing them very much as part of our team.
For business to be successful it needs to be more than an initial idea, it needs partnership, strategic alliances, commitment to sharing, the capacity to listen and the courage to speak out.
This Corporate Social Responsibility Report is a working document and we will report on our successes on an annual basis and this document will be reviewed for compliance and performance each year and new targets and new focuses will be set for the forthcoming timeframe.
